Júnia Ortiz

Professor at the Faculty of Communication of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), working in Communication, Culture, and Data Science. Specialist in Data Science and Big Data (Institute of Mathematics and Statistics — IME/UFBA). PhD in Communication from the Federal University of Bahia (PosCom/UFBA). Holds degrees in Statistics (UFBA) and Social Communication (UESB). She was a visiting researcher at Comparative Media Studies — Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), through the Capes/Fulbright program (2014–2015). She also received a Fulbright Program/United States Department of State scholarship for advanced academic English training at Saint John’s University (2014).
